Dancing a two-step.

While we were in Saskatchewan last week we went to Jake and Colleen's for a day and took Mom and Dad along, since they hadn't seen them since they were in BC. Jake and Dad were in the livingroom listening to music (old time bluegrass) when Mom went in to see what they were doing. Dad got up and grabbed Mom and started dancing with her. They danced for about 5 minutes and did a very nice two-step. Jake said he had never seen them dance together. They danced at my house in Nanoose Bay when they were here last Christmas, but I think the time I remember that means the most to me was back in Martensville. I think I was about 8 or so. Dad came home from work and Mom was at the stove. Maybe it was Mom's birthday or some other special occassion. Dad had a flower for her and when he came into the kitchen from outside he grabbed Mom and danced her around the kitchen. She was laughing and telling him to stop being slly in front of the kids, but you could tell she loved it. I remember clearly how I felt very secure and loved at that time. Strange how the behavior of the parents translates to a child. For me, knowing that my parents loved each other and enjoyed each other made me feel loved. Anyway, I wish I had gotten this on video with sound and all that, but these pictures will have to do.

Ok. I don't know why blogger does this. I have a duplicate picture at the very end. Weird, but I guess we have to put up with it.

This post gave me shivers, it's so beautiful. I think it's such an inspiration to see how much they still care for and love each other after all these years. I only hope that Kyle and I can feel the same after years together. :) Thanks for the pictures, Auntie Margaret!

If you want a copy of them, you can just get them from the blog.

First click on the picture so it takes you to the larger version, and then right click on the picture, and then "Save Image as" You can then choose where on your computer to save the pictures.
