I Miss Summer. Already

I know it's only November, but having been injured and immobile all summer, i feel like I missed the whole thing. now I miss the sunsets from the Beach Hut.

Isn't that a beautiful sight? Sitting there with family, while a warm breeze blows, the waves gently come into shore and the sun goes down.

I also miss going to the lake. We only went once this summer. Last year we went at least 8 times and spent the whole day, laying on the beach, eating, swimming and laying on the beach again.

Now we can look forward to the following for at least another 3 months. We do get some sunny days too, but this is the story of our winter.

Mitz, Mom and I found this umbrella last year in Whippletree Junction. It pretty much sums up the way it is here right now.

I would have bought this umbrella, but it cost way too much. Now I wish I had.

Ok the first picture is what I am coming out there for in spring. The last one is why I am glad I cancelled my flight now. We have +15 and sunny with the smell of fall leaves in the air. Reminds me of the farm.

Great umbrella though. you should have all chipped in and bought it. Although I cannot picture Mom walking around carrying that.

Oops I lied!
just went upstairs and the sun is gone. It's ten degrees but that is still pretty fantastic for Saskatchewan in November

You know... I realized that, except for the last few days, we haven't gotten a whole lot of rain, actually. I notice because I walk to work. But according to the Farmer's Almanac read by a guy who told Kyle while in the lineup at QF, this winter is going to be worse than last year. I guess that means more snow? Or storms?

I hope there's snow.

I Know how you feel. I didn't mind a little rain here and there but this is getting alittle too depressing ... I am scared to find out what kind of winter we will get this year ... eesh!

love the umbrella. but just to help you find a silver lining in amongst your rain clouds... it could be worse, what if the umbrella said "it's raining shit". that would suck.

Or it could say, "Shit. It's snowing" Like Saskatchewan. For at least 6 months. Sometimes 8. OK I like my umbrella. Thanks for putting that into perspective for me Trav.
